Hydrangea Breeders Association (HBA) develops new hydrangea varieties for the customers profit and consumers satisfaction. At the joint companies’ premises the result from the crosses and other breeding activities is produced into flowering. Selections and choices are made on the spot, thus within the normal production procedures. Wishes and questions are therefore easily reported from the field / greenhouse and incorporated into a sophisticated breeding program. New varieties are being tested extensively in practice.
About us
Companies behind HBA
We give you a head start by:
Pot Plants Garden Plants
Our varieties are tested under normal production circumstances for characteristics like branching, compactness, flower induction, change of colour and of course durability under consumer conditions.

Cut Flowers Royal Series
The Royal series represents varieties that can be pruned deep for flowers on new shoots, but can also perfectly fit in a traditional way of production. A period of natural cold to stimulate regrowth and induction is required for these varieties.
A combination of the deep pruning and traditional method creates a long window of harvesting. Discover our varieties. Click on the picture for more information.
Cut Flowers Tropical Series
The Tropical varieties are specially designed and selected for areas without a long period of natural cold and with a diferent day-night regime compared to the Northern European production areas. These varieties do not require a long cold period for good stem length
At Equatorial production areas like Kenya or Colombia the tropical varieties produce flowers yearround. Discover our varieties. Click on the picture for more information.
Paniculata
With a new vision on the cultivation and appearance of the Paniculata hydrangea, an assortment has been developed that can be traded as half material and being sold as a flowering finished product shortly after that.
Breeding has led to surprising chararacteristics as the mentioned forcing of flowering, compactness, stunning autumn colours and nearly 100% of the stems flowering. Discover our varieties. Click on the picture for more information.
